We, at the Real Estate Research Institute, would like
to express our deep appreciation to Baton Rouge leading businesses and organizations
for their support of our research. Please, take a minute to review the
list of our
and their privileges.
The Real Estate Research
Institute is an auxiliary of the E. J. Ourso College of Business Administration's
Department of Finance at Louisiana State University. Its purpose is to encourage, support,
and conduct applied and basic research in real estate. As part of our applied research
mission, the institute publishes four books each year containing data on Baton Rouge and
Louisiana. The funds from our sponsors and subscribers to the data books help support
undergraduate and graduate students interested in real estate.
A particular basic research emphasis
within the RERI is on the application of spatial statistics to real estate data.
Double-click the "Spatial Statistics" link on the left to obtain spatial
statistics software which can handle large data sets such as often found in real estate.
In addition, the files contain papers, data, and other items of interest. Other basic
research focuses include mortgage research (follow Carlos Slawson links) and urban
economic theory (follow Geoffrey Turnbull links).
